“El documento” – Level 1 Spanish Reader

I am excited to share that my latest reader is now out in Spanish!

(Note: There are excerpts from the Spanish version of book at the end of the post.)

I previously published a German reader, entitled “Das Dokument”, and I’m excited to announce that it is now available in Spanish! I can’t wait to get this resource in the hands of Spanish educators and language learners.

If you are a Spanish educator, you may know or, at least, heard of “Señor Jordan” (If not, you need to check him out here: https://senorjordan.com/ ) Jeremy “Señor” Jordan is a fantastic and gifted educator and author. And, I am thrilled that he did the Spanish translation of the book. With Jeremy behind the translation, I know “El documento” will be a great resource for teachers and students alike. In fact, in his translation, Jeremy kept this chapter book to 100 unique words and at a level that is written for Level 1/A1 language learners. (“El documento” can be used at he end of semester 1 of level 1 or in semester 2.)

“El documento” incorporates technology & related vocabulary, embedded elements, dialogue and a glossary. It also includes comprehension questions to give learners more repetition with the structures and vocabulary found in the chapters. (And it is printed in color!)

Here is a summary:

Henri meets his cousin, Karla, at a café. After she leaves, Henri finds a flash drive on the floor under the table. Thinking it belongs to Karla, he takes it and returns it to her. Karla soon discovers that the flash drive does not belong to her. She also discovers an encrypted document on the flash drive. After hacking the document, Karla knows that she and Henri have a problem. What she doesn’t know is there is a man following them – a man who is determined to get that flash drive back.

If you know any Spanish language educators and/or language learners that this book would help, please let them know! Gracias!
